| Dear Jim Salestrom- During the last days of December we have the tendency of making a ballance of the good and bad thigs that have happened in our lives. Between the best musical experiences I´ve ever had, was having the chance of performing with such a great musician and composer, and good fellow as you are. We can still recall when our both familys met. You guys are nice people in more than one meaning.
Argentina misses you a lot...
May the Lord give you people a Merry Christmas and a Great Year with lots of Sweet Musical Inspiration! Sincerely, Henry.

| A John Denver Fan sent me a midi of your song, "The Bristlecone Pine". I think it is one of the prettiest and most inspiring songs I have ever heard in all of my 83 years. I am ordering your CD from Amazon today. They tell me it will have to be a used CD. I hope I get it soon. P. Bogle |

| In 1977-78, The Great Timber Rush was a hit album at the University of North Carolina Greensboro radio station where I worked. Entranced with the melodies and thoughtful lyrics in a time of disco, I bought the album and played it and played it and played it. Today, I still have the 33RPM album, but no reliable way to play it.
Listening to The Thorns, I thought again of your wonderful album and how you blazed the trail; A quick Google search and "presto" there it was. I look forward to turning it up... and curcling back to listen to some of the more recent work you've done. |

| I just gave my husband a list of your CD's for Christmas ideas. I remember listening to Timberline in high school. It brings back good memories. I am a 1977 grad of Kearney HIgh School. You need to sing on the East Coast sometime. Thanks for the good music. |

| Jim- I just came across your website while prepping for today's interview with you on our KGFW "Talk of the Town." Very impressive! I count it a privelege to know you and your family and always look forward to our occasional meetings and interviews. We in Kearney are proud to call you a "native" - one of Kearney's "claims to fame."
Also thanks for turning me on to Breckenridge. While my wife and I still claim Estes Park as our annual winter escape, we have visited Breckenridge a number of times and love the ambience there. Keep up the good work. You are not only an entertainer-you are an inspiration!

| Dear Jim Salestrom, On September 21, 2003 I came to the 2003 Boy Scouts Council Camporee. The night of the 22nd was spectacular! You were awesome! It's the best music I've heard in a long time. I really appreciate you spending your time with all 6,000 Boy Scouts that night. All your songs were great! I speak for Timberline, Gateway, Valley, and all the rest of the districts when I say, thank you very much!

| Dear Jim,
I'm David, I was checking you this morning in Paris for your flight to Philadelphia. I hope you and your wife enjoyed your flight.
I just finish to listen to the CD you gave me, it's very, very nice, I love your music. Thank you very much Jim ...Could you please tell how it's possible from France to buy your others CD's?
I'm sorry, but when you gave it to me, I didn't realize that it was your CD. When I saw that, it was to late to ask you to dedicate it to me. I'm really sorry Jim.
I regret it especially since I really love your music, and every time I listen to it, I 'll say myself: "I had the luck to meet Jim at least once in my life" because you're really friendly, generous and you filled my day with a magnifcent sunbeam today.
I hope, the next time I'll go to U.S.A., I'll have the luck to be able to attend one of your concerts.
Hope to meet you again,
Best regards,
Friendly,
David.

| Dear Jim: It wouldn't be summer in Frisco without Jim Salestrom concerts. We have a real tradition going with the Fourth of July - you have been here every 4th for the last nine years that I have been coordinating the show and probably several before that. The Concert in the Park series has also been featuring you for many years. You draw the best crowds for these shows and I know many of our repeat visitors look forward to your shows every year. Can you imagine the impression you have on a first time guest? Your wonderful singing and original songs, the mountains surrounding you, a clear blue Colorado sky and Frisco's charming Main Street in the background. We are truly blessed to live in this place and have a Colorado treasure like you as a Frisco tradition. Thanks, Jim for all the music you have shared with Frisco over the years. We are looking forward to the Fourth in 2004 already! Sincerely, Linda Lichtendahl Town of Frisco Community Relations Director |

| Jim, so glad to find this web site. My children have spent every 4th of July in frisco w/ you since birth. There is no place they would rather be, including disney land! You won our hearts many years ago. We were disappointed when you left the stage so quickly this year. We are planning to go to botanical gardens in Sept. Thank-you for writing and singing songs that create wonderful memories for our family. You are a blessing, Todd,Vicki, bethany and jonathan |

| Jim - it was great seeing you in Keystone last weekend for the 4th of July! Sitting on the patio by the lake and hearing your tunes and John Denvers' literally had the hair on my arms standing up - not bad considering it was 95 degrees! Enjoyed meeting your wife and have been thoroughly enjoying your new CD Music from the Mountains - keep up the good work! Can't believe it's been almost 30 years already since we graduated from Kearney High School - we'll have to get serious about a reunion - maybe since so many of us in Colorado - we move it to Summit County?? | I found "The Great Adventure" amongst the rubble of moving houses.. Eerily, the first song came on and I remembered where that CD came from. About 10 years ago, when I was 7 (imagine that..), I saw you play live at a steak restaraunt in Colorado (Winter Park or Brekenridge.. the Cattle Co.?) Anyhow, thanks for the quality work and reminiscence. |

| A unexpected turn on the "I saw Elvis in Minden 56" thing. A few weeks back the "City Cafe" owner told me there was a chance the landlord might change it to an antique store; wich I didn't like because I eat Sunday dinner there. and my mother worked there for near 30 years. I told him the Elvis story and said if I could find proof; maybe the cafe could be put in the HIstoric Register. I got back on the internet and found through Scotty Moore's website manager that Elvis and Scotty and Bill were in Nebraska about the time I claimed. They played Lincoln May 19th, Omaha May 20th 21st layover 22nd layover and 23rd Sioux City. By the way the tickets were like $2.50. So with the 2 day layover; this would give Elvis an opportunity to drive 2-3 hours to Minden. I can't feature him just sitting around in a room and he had never been to Nebraska before. Maybe they went to Pioneer Village. I've tried to see their guestbooks but haven't heard. I did find a black and white picture of the Yellow Caddy Convert. on Elvis Cars web site. Any way I sent a letter to the Editor of several newspapers. I don't know how many used the story but the manager told me the cafe business doubled since my story, so maybe I'll have a place to eat for a while. I also heard from a D J Mark Heylbutt from Melbourne Australia who saw my message on a rockabilly message board. He is interested in the Fate of the Cafe and my old TV audio recording. There is only one "Your True Love" (Carl Perkins wrote this). My mother passed away in 2001 and she loved Elvis songs. She was the one that waited on the 3 men. I sang "Peace In the Valley" at her funeral as requested. Friend BOB Ayres |

| Hey Jim, I used to live 2 doors down from you in Kearney and liked your band Timberline. Didn't you guys do a little ditty that went something like "I like peanut butter, creamy peanut butter, crunchy peanut butter too?" I also like your song "I wish it would rain." Is it available on CD? There was another song I loved but I can't remember the name--I keep thinking it was "Cinnamon Girl," but that's not quite right. Any ideas? Will you be coming to the Watering Hole again anytime soon, or anywhere else in Nebraska? Hope to see you perform again sometime. |
