Jim, As Winter approaches, my thoughts always float to my ephemeral days in "Breck" and to a happier time and place. I recall all of the great experiences and friends of the past. Cathy and I were just listening to your music and thanking God for our good life. Enjoyed your photo album and I am so amazed and how beautiful and grown your children are. Hope to see you soon. Your Friend, Jim and Cathy Goodyear

Jim: Saw Timberline's fairwell performance at Kearney State in, uh, 1980? I was the long-haired guy smiling on the 50 yard line. I recently contacted Chuck and talked about an old bass amp I bought at Yanda's back then, that used to be his. He shared your websites and all this prompted me to sign your guest book. My ex-wife's boyfriend captured my old albums, so I'm asking Santa to bring me a copy of Timberline's CDs. I share your appreciation of the Rockies and try to go camping each Spring up North. Wannna go next May? God bless you.

Hi Jim,I just want to say how glad I am to have made it to my 7th John Denver Tribute Concert of which you were a part of. You sang beautifully and added so much to the whole experience there in Aspen. I just had to purchase your CD, Music From the Mountains, after hearing Bristlecone Pine and Queen Anne's Lace...such beautiful words and music, and you sing with such heartfelt warmth. I played Queen Anne's Lace all the way home to Wisconsin and haven't stopped playing it yet! Look forward to seeing you in Aspen next year, but until then, God Bless. Kathy

Hey Tony, Just wanted to say thanks for the truly awesome work with the new radio show! I was continually dissatisfied with my former AM program, and the day I switched it on to find you there I was hopeful for great things. After listening now for a few weeks, I have to say that your sober style and wisdom are a splendid addition to radio - but I'd expect nothing less from a fellow philosopher! (I have a BA and MA in philosophy, but had to get a JD so that I woulnd't starve!). For the love of wisdom, Ben

Jim, Duane and I were in Tulsa and finally found Tony's radio show on a station there. We heard "Thank God I'm Republican" and have to say we have never had such a good laugh or enjoyed a song more! We loved Tony on TV and his radio show is so much more at ease than some of the other "radical" talk shows. We like to stay informed of the up to date politics. We're retired but still love good talk and good music. Good Luck to you and I will try to get more of your music after I've went all through your web-site. Carol and Duane Farley

Jim, What a wonderful and exciting adventure it looks like you have been on since leaving us in hometown Kearney, NE. The opportunities you have had to meet so many exciting and neat people is truly amazing. I guess those late nights after Mule Deer & Fireside with Monz, myself, Mo, Otis, Bamford, & a few others payed off. (lol) Those were definitely fun times and probably the most memorable was when Timberline held their reunion concert at the fairgrounds here and the place was packed (if you can do that outside) and the electricity among everyone was........(nothing like I have ever experienced before.) Thank you Jim for alot of fun times & I hope you play for the hometown folks soon!

Hi Jim, I would love to make that date you have with MMM (no relation to M@M). Michael and yourself are favorites. you may or may not know; the music store in Kearney where I used to work across from the World Theater has become a coffee-house. I'd doing a small concert there next week. I worked there for 8 years in the 60s selling records and guitars. I remember showing your dad, yourself and chuck an amplifier. The stage is in the window and is 3 feet from where I stood for 8 years in the 60s. Must be magnetic attraction. If you get back for Easter; check it out or sit in for a couple. BOB AYRES

Jim, we are a family from Oklahoma that could not survive without the music of John Denver. We heard you in Breckenridge last year and did not want to leave. Are kid's are 7,10 and 13 and can sing the words to any John Denver song. It is so wonderful that you keep his music alive, and give us all a great appreciation of such a gifted man. We will see you again on August 2nd, can't wait!!! Billie Greenfield

I used to live in Omaha. A friend said that your music reminded him of me, so he sent a few songs with me as a going away gift. I cherished these songs. The tape that he gave me has long since melted but I did get to share the music with my children. I am a Special Education Teacher and "Messenger" is how I introduce new material to angry students. Your music has been a basic foundation for the stability of my family. I appreciate the opportunity to find you and be able to finally puchase all the songs I have so cherished all these years. You are truly that inspiration you set out to be to get people to look a little deeper. I use this with my children and my students. Whether they admit it or not I know that I will be that force they remember who got them to face themself and make some hard choices but right choices in life. Thank you for sharing your life through your music with so many. It has truly touched my life, so it has had to effect may. Keep the music coming. Respectfully your, Gay Lynn Friar

Hey, Jim I was thrilled to find the Timberline album on CD. It was a great trip down memory lane. Last night, my wife and I went to Music Night at 1st Presbyterian Church in Normandy, TN to see Shane Adkins perform. I leaned over and whispered to my wife, "this would be an awesome place for Jim Salestrom to play." She said she was just thinking the same. Last time we got to see you was 10-12 years ago a a little bar in Lincoln. It was my mom that bought your Roy Smeck Harmony banjo when you were in high school. If she's still got it, we'll save it for your induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame. God bless you and your family and best of luck.
